The prayer is for a mandamus directing the respondents to fill the sanctioned existing vacancies of Doctor (Assistant Surgeon), Chief Pharmacist, Radiographer, Maternity Assistant Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery, Male nursing Assistant, and Record Clerk as per the sanctioned posts in accordance with law and to take immediate action to ensure the functioning of an ultrasound scan facility for poor, pregnant women, establish basic emergency medical equipment and essential medical staff 2/6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P.(MD)No.29233 of 2025 to attend emergency care at Karambakudi Taluk Hospital in Pudukkottai District. 2.Mr.Thilakkumar, learned Government Pleader, appears for the respondents. Counter has been filed by the Chief Medical Officer, Government Hospital, Karambakkudi, Pudukottai District/R4, where he sets out the details of Taluk Hospital at para 6 onwards. This is specifically for the reason that the Taluk Hospital has an ultrasound scan 4/6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P.(MD)No.29233 of 2025 facility and hence, the necessary technicians must be present to utilise the same for the benefit of the women in that area. There is a direction to do the needful within a period of sixteen weeks from date of receipt of a copy of this order. 7.With this, this writ petition stands disposed. No costs.
