1. This is an office reference.
2. This Court, vide order dated 24.11.2023 passed in MCRC No.8027 of 2023, while allowing the bail to the applicant, namely, Ali Haidar @ Lalla had expressed its trust that the trial Court should make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of the order, if there was no legal impediment.
3. Earlier on occasion also, this Court had granted extension of VAISHALI LUCKY NAGARIA Digitally signed by VAISHALI LUCKY NAGARIA Date: 2025.06.16 13:10:22 +0530
2 time for conclusion of the trial vide order dated 04.10.2024 in CRMP 2693 of 2024, and vide order dated 07.02.2025 in CRMP No.509 of
2025.
4. The learned Special Judge (NDPS Act), District- Raipur (C.G.) through the District and Sessions Judge, Raipur (C.G.) vide his request letter dated 25.04.2025 has requested for grant of some more time for concluding the trial.
5. It transpires from perusal of the PUD, that in the present case, at the stage of recording of the prosecution witness and a total of 7 prosecution witnesses are yet to be examined. Considering the numbers of witnesses, the trial is likely to take some more time for its conclusion. Hence, he prays for grant of further six months more time for concluding the trial.
6. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of further four months from today.
7. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed off with the aforesaid direction.
8. Registry is directed to send a certified copy of this order to the trial Court concerned for necessary information and compliance.
