The petitioner claims to be the lawful owner and in possession of the properties in question. In support of his title and ownership, the petitioner relies upon registered Sale Deeds, which are produced at Annexures–A and B. Following the execution of the said Sale Deeds, the petitioner states that - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:20571 WP No. 10223 of 2025 his name has been duly reflected in the Khata extract. Despite this, the petitioner contends that there has been undue delay and inaction on the part of respondent No.3 in issuing the E- Khata in his favour. Aggrieved by such inaction, the petitioner has approached this Court by filing the present writ petition. 3. Learned counsel appearing for respondent No.3 submits that respondent No.3 is willing to consider the petitioner’s request for issuance of E-Khata, subject to the petitioner submitting an online application along with all requisite title documents. It is further submitted that upon receipt of such an application, the same will be processed and considered in accordance with law. 4. Recording the above submission, this Court proceeds to pass the following: ORDER (i) The writ petition is allowed in part; (ii) The petitioner is granted liberty to submit an online application seeking issuance of E-Khata in respect of the subject properties. - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:20571 WP No. 10223 of 2025 (iii) Upon receipt of such online application, respondent No.3 shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of the application.
