Hon'ble Vikram D. Chauhan,J. 1. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the respondent-State. 2. The present writ petition has been filed with the following prayer :- "(i). Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents (specially the respondent no. 2) to consider the petitioner's claim for promotion against the post of Head of Department of Electronics Engineering of the Government Polytechnic College, State of Uttar Pradesh in physically handicapped category by keeping in view the government orders issued by Karmik Anubhag-2 of Uttar Pradesh by way of letter no. 10/2022/18/1/2008/47/ कक-2/2022 लखनऊ dated 04-08-2022. (ii) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents (specially the respondent no. 2) to not to make any appointment against the two vacant post of Head of Department of Electronics Engineering in pursuant to the letter No. 68674E-2- ददो -172/(लदो0 सस0 आ 0 -2025) (51), dated 20-01- 2025 by way of direct recruitment. (iii) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondents (specially the respondent no. 2) to take a decision on petitioner's grievances has been raised by way of representation dated 26-12-2024." 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that representation dated 26.12.2024 of the petitioner for claiming promotion against the post of Head of Department of Electronics Engineering in the Government Polytechnic College under the physically handicapped category in pursuance to the Government Orders issued by Karmik Anubhag-2 of Uttar Pradesh by way of letter no.10/2022/18/1/2008/47/ कक-2/2022 लखनऊ dated 04-08-2022 is pending consideration before respondent no. 2. The direction may be issued for expeditious disposal of the same. 4. Learned Standing Counsel for the respondent-State submits that representation of the petitioner would be decided in a time bound manner. 5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, it is hereby directed that representation of the petitioner pending before respondent No.2 be decided expeditiously preferably within a period of two months from the date of production of a certified copy of this order. 6. It is clarified that this Court has not decided the issue on merits and the authorities concerned shall independently apply its mind and pass order in accordance with law. 7.
