Despite service, respondent no.4 is not represented. The petitioner seeks electricity connection for his shoproom at 46, Jadav Ghosh Road (Sarsuna), Kolkata- 700061. Learned advocate appearing for the Calcutta Electric Supply Corporation Limited submits that due to resistance from respondent no.4, the connection could not be effected. The possession of the petitioner over the shoproom in question is not disputed. In that view of the matter, I direct the Calcutta Electric Supply Corporation Limited to effect the electricity connection at the shoproom by the petitioner through a loop meter which will be installed at the existing service position. The petitioner shall comply with all necessary formalities. The Officer-in-Charge, Sarsuna Police Station shall render all necessary assistance to the officials of Calcutta Electric Supply Corporation Limited in implementing this order at the cost of the petitioner. It is made clear that the police will be at liberty to break open the padlock of the existing meter room. With these directions, W.P.A 10309 of 2025 is disposed of.
