Learned Standing Counsel has pointed out that this petition has been rendered infructuous inasmuch as it seeks a direction to the respondent no. 2 to decide the representation dated 4.4.2019 filed by the petitioner. It has been submitted that an inquiry was in fact conducted and upon the allegation of illegal mining having been found to be substantiated, penalty to the tune of Rs. 5 Lakhs was imposed upon the respondent no. 5, which penalty has also been deposited. 3.
