learned counsel for the petitioner and Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Stamps and Registration. The claim of the petitioner herein is that, the petitioner is the pattadar and possessor of the subject land in Survey No.396/1, situated in Chagaleru Village, Chilamathur Mandal, Sri Satya Sai District (Erstwhile Anantapur District), having acquired the title through an assignment to the predecessor in

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that it is settled proposition of law that any assignments made on or before 1956, the schedule of the patta
land as held by the assignees should be treated as patta land by virtue of the terms of G.O.Ms.No.575 Revenue (Assignment-1) Department, dated
16.11.2018. Therefore, the claim of the petitioner herein for changing of classification and nature of subject land from Government land to patta land can be considered. In the process of consideration, the respondent No.4 submitted a report dated 03.06.2025 to the competent authority. The 3^*^ respondent herein who
5. is the competent authority for change of classification of subject land as patta land instead of Government land, even though the said report was submitted on 03.06.2025, the 3'"'^ respondent neither considered the report nor passed any other order. Hence, the Writ Petition. 6. On the other hand, learned Assistant Government Pleader for stamps and registration submits that in view of the settled proposition of law and pursuant to the report submitted by the 4 respondent, the 3 respondent being a competent authority for change of classification of subject land, would consider and pass appropriate orders at the earliest in accordance with law. 7. Considering the submissions of both the learned counsels and on perusal of the material on record, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondent No.3 to consider the report of 4‘^ respondent dated 03.06.2025 and pass appropriate orders in accordance v\/ith law, after providing sufficient opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and other stakeholders, if any, within a period of three (03) months from the date of receipt of a copy of the order. % '^'4. 8.
