JUSTICE NELSON SAILO ORDER 21.01.2025 Ms. Ruth Lalruatfeli, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that W.A Nos. 70 & 71/2018 has been disposed of by the Division Bench of this Court on 30.10.2024 by upholding the common Judgment & Order dated 15.11.2017 passed by the learned Single Judge in WP(C) Nos. 20/2014 & 30/2014, whereby the Mizoram (Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation & Resettlement) Act, 2016 was held to be not applicable. The learned counsel submits that in view of the above development, the petitioners may be allowed to withdraw this writ petition and pursue the remedy available to them in terms of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013. Ms. Caroline K Lungawipuii, learned Government Advocate representing the State respondents has no objection to the prayer. In view of above, the Writ Petition stands dismissed as withdrawn by granting the petitioners as withdrawn by granting the petitioners liberty to approach the appropriate forum.
