Raghunandan Rao) The son of the petitioner, who was working in Puthalapattu Village and Mandal, Chittoor District as a Manager in a private Bank was last seen on 30.10.2022. As all calls are made by the petitioner to his son, on 01.11.2022, were unanswered as the phone was switched off, the petitioner made local enquiries and subsequently, filed a complaint, which was registered as Crime No.311 of 2022 in the Kanekal Police Station. Thereafter, the case was transferred to Puthalapattu Police Station. 2. Despite various enquiries, the police authorities could not trace the son of the petitioner. Thereupon, the petitioner approached this Court, by way of the present Writ Petition, contending that the police had not conducted a proper enquiry and investigation in the matter and that the persons, who were suspected to have a hand in the disappearance of his son, are not being questioned properly. 3. The 7th respondent, who is a Sub-Inspector of Police, Puthalapattu Police Station, has filed a counter-affidavit, dated 06.12.2024, setting out the details of the investigation. 4. The learned counsel for the petitioner would contend that, the said counter-affidavit only sets out the steps taken by the investigating officer and does not set out the lapses in the investigation. The learned counsel would submit that the petitioner had raised his suspicions about the calls of his son and that they may have taken away the money of the private bank and pushed the blame on his son, due to which they had also caused the disappearance of the son. 5. The learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that, despite such specific allegations, the investigating officer has not gone into these issues and has not conducted a proper investigation. Learned counsel would also submit that the said case needs to be transferred to the C.B.C.I.D. and C.B.I. for further investigation. 6. We have gone through the counter-affidavit of the 7th respondent as well as the material produced by the 7th respondent, before this Court. After perusing the material, it appears that all the persons mentioned in the complaint and the persons against whom allegations are made have been examined and their statements have been recorded. 7. In these circumstances, we deem it appropriate to relegate the matter to the 7th respondent for further enquiry and investigation, as we do not find any prima facie material for holding that proper investigation is not being carried out. 8. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is closed with a direction to the 7th respondent to expedite further investigation into the matter for ascertaining the whereabouts of the missing son of the petitioner and also for ascertaining as to who had misused and embarrassing the funds of the private bank. There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel, interlocutory applications pending, if any shall stand closed. ________________________ R.
