Heard the learned counsel Mr. N Ahmed appearing for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. K Baishya, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State of Assam.
2. This application has been filed under Section 483 of the BNSS, 2023 whereby the petitioner, namely, Amur Hussain has prayed for releasing him on bail, after he was arrested in connection with Bongaigaon P.S. Case No. 295/2025.

3. A small quantity of narcotic drugs (12 gms.) was recovered from the possession of the petitioner.
4. The petitioner has already spent 57 days in judicial custody.
5. Considering the period of detention already undergone by the petitioner in judicial custody, this Court is of the opinion that the petitioner no longer deserves to be detained in custody.
6. The bail application of the petitioner is allowed.
7. It is hereby directed that the petitioner Amur Hussain, who was arrested in connection with Bongaigaon P.S. Case No. 295/2025, shall be released on bail of ₹25,000/- with a surety of like amount to the satisfaction of learned Special Judge, Bongaigaon, Assam. The bail application is disposed of accordingly.
