Also heard Ms. Lalnunhlui, learned Government Advocate, Mizoram, appearing for the respondent nos. 1 to 5. This IA has been filed with a prayer to substitute the original appellant in the appeal, who is stated to have expired on 23/01/2025. The applicant is the brother of the original appellant and submits that save and except the applicant, there is no other surviving legal heir of the deceased appellant as she died unmarried. That apart, according to the applicant, the right to sue still survives and, therefore, the application for substitution deserves to be allowed by this Court. Ms. Lalnunhlui, learned Government Advocate, Mizoram, submits that she does not have any objection if the prayer for substitution is allowed by the Court. In view of the above, the prayer for substitution of the original appellant by the Page No.# 4/4 applicant, viz. Shri Lianchungnunga, is hereby allowed.
