This is an application seeking impleadment of the new incumbent Prof. Dibakar Chandra Deka to the post of Vice Chancellor, Mizoram University. It appears that during the pendency of this contempt petition, the contemnor Prof. KRS Sambasiva Rao, Vice Chancellor of Mizoram University was succeeded by Prof. Dibakar Chandra Deka. In view of the aforesaid development, it appears that the impleadment sought for is essential for effective adjudication of the contempt petition. Accordingly, the impleadment sought for is allowed. It is provided that Prof. Dibakar Chandra Deka, Vice Chancellor, Mizoram University be impleaded as contemnor/respondent No. 2 in the contempt petition.
