The prayer in the Writ Petition is to seek a direction to Respondent No.1 to dispose of the Second Appeal filed under Section 19(3) of the Right to information Act, 2005, dated 10.03.2025, expeditiously, seeking certain records for the last 20 years with respect to the undivided Guntur District. Since the Petitioner is a resident of Palnadu District (newly carved out District), the Superintendent of Police, Palnadu District, through the present Written Instruction, has expressed difficulty due to the division of the District. 3. Writ Petitioner is 4. This Court is of the view that the division and sub-division of a District is an administrative act and that cannot be a reason for delaying the process, inasmuch as every divided or subdivided Division has the same statutory responsibilities to comply with the requirements of the citizens. In this view of the matter, there shall be a direction to Respondent Nos.2 & 3 to supply the material within four weeks from today to Respondent No.1. Respondent No.1 shall thereupon, dispose of the Second Appeal dated 10.03.2025, pending on the file of Respondent No.1, within six weeks from today. 5.
