The learned High Court Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of respondent No.1/State. 2. The petitioner has challenged the registration of the FIR for the offences punishable under Sections 3(5), 318(4), 336(3), 338, and 340(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (BNS), in Crime No.708/2024 registered by the Marathahalli Police Station. The allegation against the petitioner is that, as a partner, he forged the signature of the complainant and created a letter of authorization. Under the said letter of authorization, he is alleged to have executed a deed of cancellation of the sale deed executed in favour of the firm. Whether the letter of authorization is forged or not is a matter that requires investigation. 3. Therefore, the petition stands disposed of with a direction to respondent No.1 to proceed with the - 3 - NC: 2025:KHC:14324 CRL.P No. 4875 of 2025 investigation in accordance with law. However, respondent No.1 shall not take any coercive action against the petitioner. 4. The petitioner shall cooperate with the investigation and shall not be summoned without following due process of law. 5.
