1. This is an office reference.
2. This Court, vide order dated 2/01/2025, passed in MCRC No. 9045/2024, while rejecting the bail of the applicant, namely, Ajmat Khan, had expressed its trust that the trial Court should make an earnest GOURI MUDALIAR Digitally signed by GOURI MUDALIAR Date: 2025.06.12 20:19:25 +0530
2 endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of the order, if there was no legal impediment.
3. The learned Special Judge (NDPS) Raipur, District Raipur (C.G.) vide his request letter dated 29/04/2025 has requested for grant of some more time for concluding the trial.
4. It transpires from perusal of the PUD, that in this case, a total of 11 prosecution witnesses have been examined and 3 witnesses are yet to be examined and trial will take some time for its conclusion. Hence, he prays for grant of further six months time for concluding the trial.
5. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of three months from today.
6. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed off with the aforesaid direction.
7. Registry is directed to send a certified copy of this order to the trial Court concerned for necessary information and compliance. SSd/- (Ramesh Sinha)
