Accused in Crime No.54/2025 registered by Jnanabharathi Police Station, Bengaluru City, for the offences punishable under Sections 109, 351(2) of BNS, 2023, is before this Court under Section 483 of BNSS, 2023, seeking regular bail. 2. Heard the learned Counsel for the parties. 3. FIR in Crime No.54/2025 was registered by Jnanabharathi Police Station, Bengaluru City, against the petitioner for the aforesaid offences based on the first information dated 05.02.2025 received from Prema – wife of injured victim Sharavana. During the course of investigation, petitioner herein was arrested on 09.03.2025. Bail application filed by the petitioner before the jurisdictional Sessions Court in Crl. Misc. No.2200/2025 was rejected on 24.03.2025. Therefore, he is before this Court. 4. Perusal of the material on record would go to show that injured Shravana allegedly had advised the petitioner not to trouble his minor daughter aged about 17 years who was attending college. It appears that petitioner was pestering the - 3 - NC: 2025:KHC:18053 CRL.P No. 4830 of 2025 minor daughter of the injured to love him and it is in this background, the alleged incident had taken place on 05.02.2025. 5. The allegation against the petitioner is that he had assaulted injured Shravana with a knife on his chest and had tried to commit his murder. The wound certificate of Shravana would go to show that he has suffered four injuries in the incident in question and all the said injuries are certified as simple injuries in nature. Petitioner, aged about 20 years having no criminal antecedents is in custody from 09.03.2025. Major portion of the investigation is completed and the weapon allegedly used to commit the crime has been seized. Considering the aforesaid aspects of the matter, I am of the opinion that petitioner’s prayer for grant of regular bail is required to be answered affirmatively. Accordingly, the following order: 6. The petition is allowed. The petitioner is directed to be enlarged on bail in Crime No.54/2025 registered by Jnanabharathi Police Station, Bengaluru City, for the offences - 4 - NC: 2025:KHC:18053 CRL.P No. 4830 of 2025 punishable under Sections 109, 351(2) of BNS, 2023, subject to the following conditions: a) Petitioner shall execute personal bond for a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- with two sureties for the likesum, to the satisfaction of the jurisdictional Court; b) The petitioner shall appear regularly on all the dates of hearing before the Trial Court unless the Trial Court exempts his appearance for valid reasons; c) The petitioner shall not directly or indirectly threaten or tamper with the prosecution witnesses; d) The petitioner shall not involve in similar offences in future; e) The petitioner shall not leave the jurisdiction of the Trial Court without permission of the said Court until the case registered against him is disposed off.
