For Petitioner : Mr.B.Kumarasamy For Respondents : Mr.C.Jayaprakash Government Advocate for R1 to R5 ORDER This writ petition has been filed for issue of Writ of Mandamus to direct the third and fourth respondents to deal with the representations made by the petitioner, wherein the petitioner is seeking for conversion of conditional patta into ayan patta with respect to the subject property, as per the recommendations of the fifth respondent. 2/6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P.No.41526 of 2025 2. Heard Mr.B.Kumarasamy, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.C.Jayaprakash, learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of respondents 1 to 5. 3. The case of the petitioner is that, the subject property was originally assigned in his favour on 18.07.1996. The petitioner submitted a representation on 18.01.2017 seeking for converting the conditional patta into ayan patta. The same was not considered. Therefore, subsequent representations were made and based on the same, the fifth respondent conducted an enquiry and submitted a report to the fourth respondent and recommended for issuance of ayan patta in favour of the petitioner. The Village Administrative Officer also submitted a report to the fifth respondent in this regard. The fifth respondent had sent a communication to the third respondent on 04.08.2025 stating that the conditional patta can be converted into ayan patta. 4. The grievance of the petitioner is that, the same was not acted upon and it is kept pending. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the materials placed before this Court and also considering the fact that the report has already been placed before the third respondent recommending for conversion of conditional patta into ayan patta, there shall be a direction to the third respondent to pass final orders, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6. This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction.
