The petitioner claims that he is the absolute owner of the subject 2. property, out of love and affection for his daughter, he had executed a Registered Gift Settlement Deed dated 22.02.2022 in her favour. The petitioner further states that he had purchased the subject land from 3. his brother for valid consideration. It is submitted that the petitioner’s brother^ from whom the petitioner acquired the land, has subsequently executed a 2 registered General Power of Attorney (GPA) in favour of third parties for consideration. Therefore, the petitioner and the 5'^ respondent have filed a suit in O.S.No.205 of 2022 on the file of the Principal Junior Civil Judge, Proddatur, seeking a permanent injunction against the petitioner’s brother and the said third parties. The petitioner contends that the 5*'^ respondent had undertaken to take 4. care of the petitioner; however, subsequent to the execution of the gift deed, she has not been taking care of the petitioner, compelling the petitioner to file the subject application before the 3'"^ respondent under the provisions of the Senior Citizens Act, 2007, seeking protection. 5. It is further submitted that though the said application was filed oh 28.04.2025, the 3 respondent-the Tribunal has not initiated any enquiry oit taken steps on the application filed by the petitioner. The petitioner was informed by the 4*^ respondent that the 3 rd 6. respondent has not taken up the matter due to the pendency of the civil dispute involving third parties, and that appropriate orders would be passed only after the conclusion of the said proceedings. Thus, the petitioner prays for a direction to the 3'"'^ respondent to expeditiously dispose of the application filed on 28.04.2025. 7. Heard Sri V.Nitesh, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Assistant Government Pleader for Women Development & Child Welfare appearing for the respondents. 3 8. The application of the petitioner is under the provisions of the Senior Citizens Act, 2007, the civil dispute between the petitioner and unofficial respondent and the third parties is for an injunction. The pendency of the said civil suit would not come in the way of the 3'"'^ respondent to decide the application filed by the petitioner in 2025, in terms of the provisions of the Senior Citizens Act, 2007. rd 9. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the 3 respondent to dispose of the application dated 28.04.2025 filed by the petitioner under the provisions of the Senior Citizens Act, 2007, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
