Ms. Bora, learned counsel for the petitioners; Mr. A. Bhattacharya, learned Standing Counsel, Revenue Department of the respondent no. 1; Mr. J. Handique, learned Junior Government Advocate, Assam for the respondent nos. 2 & 3; Mr. N. Borah, learned counsel for the respondent no. 4; and Ms. J. Sarma, learned counsel representing Mr. A. Ikbal,
learned counsel for the respondent nos. 5 to 8 are present. Both Mr. Borah, learned counsel for the respondent no. 4 and Mr. Ikbal, learned counsel for the respondent nos. 5 to 8 have reiterated their submissions made earlier on 27.01.2025, that the dispute existing earlier between the petitioners and the private respondents has already been amicably settled. Ms. Bora, learned counsel for the petitioners who was asked to obtain instructions, on 22.01.2025 and on 27.01.2025, as regards the submissions made by the learned counsel for the private respondents regarding amicable settlement of the matter, has submitted that though contact was made with the petitioners from her end no definite instruction is forthcoming. Ms. Bora, learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that, at this stage, the writ petition may be allowed to be withdrawn, with liberty. In view of the above submissions made by the learned counsel for the parties and in view of the submission as regards projected amicable settlement, this writ petition is dismissed on withdrawal, with liberty.
