No.13035 of 2025. By virtue of the order impugned, the learned single Judge has directed the petitioner to deposit IM**" of the amount of Rs.32,85,275/- within a period of six weeks from the date of the order as against the demand of Rs.32,85,275/- demanded from the petitioner on account of two months security deposit reflecting two months average consumption bill on account of user of electricity. 2. The argument is that by virtue of an interim order passed by a single Bench of this Court, dated 30.11.2022, in W.P. No.38831 of 2022, the petitioner was directed to deposit 50% of the amount demanded in the I 2 HCJ a RRR, J W.A. No: 740 of 2025 impugned notice within a period of three weeks and that the petitioner had deposited Rs.59,88,100/- as such which was adjusted against arrears of minimum charges. We fail to understand as to how the order, dated 30.11.2022, in any 3. manner absolves the petitioner its responsibility to maintain a security deposit in terms of the regulations. In our opinion, the learned single Judge appears to have shown indulgence to the appellant herein by ordering deposit of only 1/4*^ of the demand, which comes to approximately Rs.8,21,318/-. In our opinion, no interference is warranted in the order impugned, which is only an interim order. The appellant shall be at liberty to seek modification/vacation of the order impugned, if so advised. The writ appeal is. 4. accordingly, dismissed. No costs.
