(2025:JHHC:26296) IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI B.A. No. 7474 of 2025 Sujit Kumar Chourasia @ Sujit Chourasia, aged about 20 years, son of Pradip Chourasia, resident of New Dhowra, J. P. Comp, Alkusa Kusunda, P.O. & P.S.- Kenduadih, Dist.- Dhanbad … Petitioner - Versus - The State of Jharkhand … Opp. Party ------ CORAM: - HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE AMBUJ NATH ----- For the Petitioner : Mr. Nikhil Ranjan, Advocate For the State : Mr. Praful Jojo, A.P.P. --- 02/29.08.2025 Heard the parties. The petitioner has been made accused in connection with S.T. Case No.360 of 2024, arising out of Kenduadih P.S. Case No. 09 of 2024, for the offences registered under Sections 302, 382, 379,411/ 34 of the I.P.C., pending in the court of learned District and Additional Sessions Judge- XI, Dhanbad. Bail Application of the petitioner was earlier rejected by this Court vide B.A. No.9227 of 2024 by order dated 29.10.2024. On 22.01.2024, mother of the informant was murdered by unknown persons. The miscreants after committing her murder looted her jewelleries. During the course of investigation, petitioner was apprehended and on his confession, looted jewelleries and murder weapon were recovered. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that four witnesses including the seizure witnesses have been examined and they have not supported the prosecution. Learned A.P.P. submitted that the looted jewelleries were put on T.I. Parade were identified by the daughter-in-law of the deceased. Considering the nature of allegation and fact that the trial is under progress, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, his prayer for bail stands rejected. (Ambuj Nath, J.)
