The petitioner has approached this Court praying for the following relief: "I) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Certiorari to quash the confiscation order dated 6.1.2023 passed by the District Magistrate, Chandauli in Case No. 915 of 2022, Computerised Case No. D202214180000915 (State Vs. Vishal Ravat and others) under Section 5(A) of U.P. Prevention of Cow Slaughter Act. II) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus directing the Respondents to release the vehicle No. U.P. 62 AT6069 Pickup ceased by the respondent No. 3 in Case Crime No. 80 of 2022 under Section 3/5A/5B/5 of Prevention of Cow Slaughter Act and 11 of Animal Cruelty Act, Police Station Balua, District Chandauli in favour of petitioner with immediate effect in accordance with law." 3.The learned A.G.A. has received instructions wherefrom it appears that the property has already been auctioned. Even otherwise the confiscation order was passed on 6.1.2023. The petition has been filed on 28.2.2025. 4. It suffers from gross latches. 5. Accordingly, the instant petition is dismissed.
