This Court, vide order dated 07.11.2023, passed in MCRC No. 6760 of 2023, while allowing the bail to the applicant, namely, Sikender Singh, had expressed its trust that the trial Court should make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order, if there was no legal impediment. The learned Special Judge (Protection of Interest of Depositors Act), Korea (Baikunthpur) (C.G.) vide his request letter dated 11.12.2024 has requested for grant of six months time for concluding the trial. 5. It transpires from perusal of the PUD, that in this case, the Public Prosecutor has listed 32 witnesses to testify. So far, evidence of 18 prosecution witnesses have been recorded, leaving 14 witnesses remaining, including ofÏcials from various government ofÏces and institutions across different states. Due to the complexity of the case, the large number of witnesses and the accused being lodged in jails outside the State, therefore, the case could not be concluded within the stipulated time. Therefore, he prays for grant of further six months time for concluding the trial. 6. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of six months from today. 7. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed off with the aforesaid direction. 8.
