The petitioner was appointed as a Primary Teacher on 19.12.1984. 20 years after he joined the service, on 12.10.2012, the petitioner gave an application to the respondent No.3 to correct his date of birth in the service register. 2. The petitioner relies on the birth certificate to indicate that his date of birth entered in the service register was not correct. It appears that no orders were passed on the said application. 3. On 30.6.2020, on attaining the age of superannuation, the petitioner retired from service. He, thereafter, made one more application requesting for correction in the date of birth in the service record and the said application has been rejected on 17.8.2020. He has presented this writ petition for quashing of the said rejection order. 4. In my view, having regard to the fact that the petitioner was appointed in 1984 and made application for change in his C/SCA/5485/2021 ORDER DATED: 25/06/2025 date of birth only in 2012, he would not be entitled to seek any change of entry in his service register. Further, the fact that the petitioner has attained the age of superannuation in 2020 also dis-entitles him from seeking any relief with regard to the correction in the date of birth in the service register. 5.
