The petitioner challenges the registration of the FIR in Crime No. 71/2025 for the offence punishable under Section 306 of the Bharathiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (BNS, 2023) in Crl.P.4328/2025. 6. The petitioners challenge the registration of the FIR in Crime No. 42/2025 for the offences punishable under Sections 115(2), 127(2), 3(5), and 351(2) of the BNS, 2023 in Crl.P.4332/2025. 7. The petitioners are present before this Court and have filed an application for compounding of the offences, stating that they have amicably resolved the dispute among themselves. In terms of the settlement, the parties have agreed to withdraw all the allegations made against each other. 8. The application is placed on record. 9. In view of the settlement between the parties, continuing the investigation against the petitioner would be a futile exercise, as the probability of the police filing the charge sheet is unlikely.
