1. Heard Mr. M. Islam, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. D. P. Goswami, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State of Assam.
2. This is an application filed under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, in respect of South Salmara Case No.148/2024.
3. In the FIR it is alleged that 30 numbers Solar batteries was stolen on 10.07.2024. The informant has alleged that 7(seven) persons, whose names are mentioned in the FIR, had committed the said act. One of the 7(seven) persons is the present

4. It is further alleged that these people are running a racket of stealing goods and sailing those things to the states of Bangladesh.
5. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is a scrap dealer and he has no connection with the aforesaid incident.
6. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that there are sufficient incriminating materials against the present petitioner on the Case Diary.
7. I have considered the submissions made by learned counsel for both the sides.
8. This Court is of the opinion that in the present Case thorough Police Investigation is required.
9. Allowing the prayer of Anticipatory Bail might hamper Police Investigation.
10. For the aforesaid reason, the present bail application is found to be devoid of merit and stands dismissed and disposed of accordingly.
