The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is seeking to quash the crime registered in the year 2019. The petitioner has been arraigned as the 1st accused in Crime No. 231 of 2019 on the file of Malikipuram Police Station for the alleged offences under Sections 498-A and 312 read with 34 of the IPC, and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, apart from the petitioner, the petitioner's relatives were also arraigned as accused. However, after investigation, the police deleted the other accused. The investigation, however, is still pending insofar as the petitioner is concerned.
3. It is submitted that the 2nd respondent is married to one Pedapati Manikumar, as evidenced by the copy of the passport filed along with the quash petition. This Court cannot decide the issue at this stage; it is for the Investigating Officer to ascertain the relationship between the petitioner and the 2nd respondent.
4. The learned Assistant Public Prosecutor submits that the police are unable to execute the notices under Section 35(3) of the BNSS/41-A Cr.P.C. The Investigating Officer is hereby directed to explain the status of the investigation and file the final report or charge sheet, as the case may be, by taking necessary steps.
5. With these observations, this Criminal Petition is disposed off.
As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
