By the present writ petition, the petitioner who was working as Assistant Teacher (L.B.) at Govt. Primary School Nagaridih, Block Navagarh, District Janjgir-Champa, Chhattisgarh, seeking a direction towards the respondents for promotion to the post of Teacher (Panchayat) from the post of Assistant Teacher (Panchayat) with effect from 2012. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the CEO Zila Panchayat has already sent the list of eligible Assistant Teachers (Panchayat) who are eligible for promotion to the post of Teacher and also stated that the General Administration Committee of the Zila Panchayat vide its resolution dated 14.01.2025 has also recommended the name of the petitioner for promotion to the post of Teacher. 3 3. Learned counsel for the respondents, on instruction, submits that the communication of the Zila Panchayat which has been stated by the petitioner is under consideration by the respondent Director Panchayat and the said recommendation is pending for decision of the Director. The Director Panchayat will take a decision on the recommendation made by the Zila Panchayat within a stipulated period. 4. I have heard both the parties and perused the pleadings of the petitioner. 5. It appears from the pleadings as well as the relief sought by the petitioner that the petitioner is seeking a direction towards the Director Panchayat to take a decision on the recommendation made by the Zila Panchayat by which it has recommended grant of promotion to the petitioner from the post of Assistant Teacher to Teacher (Panchayat). 6. Looking to the submission made by the State counsel, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent authorities/ Director Panchayat to take a decision on the recommendation made by the Zila Panchayat within a period of 30 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, in accordance with law.
