This is an application under Section 528 of the BNSS, 2023 in connection with Mayong P.S. case No. 134/2024. 3. 26 numbers of cattle were seized by police while they were being transported in a Page No.# 2/2 vehicle. Police brought the acquisitions under the provisions of Prevention of Cruelty to Animal Act and under the provisions of Assam Cattle Prevention Act. 4. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that he is the owner of the seized cattle. He has relied upon some documents to that effect. 5. I have considered the submissions made by the learned counsels of both sides. 6. The matter is remanded to the learned trial court for undertaking a fresh enquiry. The learned trial court shall compare the documents, receipts etc with the original books. After that, the learned trial court shall pass necessary order to that effect. 7.
