This is an application under Section 482 of the BNSS, 2023 praying for pre-arrest bail in respect of PRC No.356/2023 arising out of North Salmara P.S. Case No.255/2022 pending in the court of learned Addl. Chief Judicial Magistrate, Lakhimpur, North Lakhimpur. 3. The petitioner is shown as an absconder in a charge sheet where the allegation against him is sessions triable. 4. The petitioner, now, apprehends that if he appears before the learned Addl. CJM, Lakhimpur, North Lakhimpur, he shall be remanded to custody as the said court does not have the jurisdiction to entertain his bail application. 5. Mr. Saikia submits that the petitioner has a good case for himself and he wants to face the trial. 6. I have considered the submissions made by the learned counsel of both sides. 7. Since the petitioner is interested in facing the trial, this Court is of the opinion that he deserves to be given an opportunity to contest the case. 8. It is directed that the petitioner Nara Bahadur Chetry @ Nor Bahadur appears before the court of learned Addl. CJM, Lakhimpur, North Lakhimpur in connection with PRC No.356/2023, the above named petitioner shall be allowed to go on bail of ₹25,000/- with a surety of like amount to the satisfaction of the said court [learned Addl.
