The petitioner is alleging that though he is a member of the other backward community (OBC) but the OBC-A certificate since was not in his possession at the relevant point of time he had participated in the Teacher Eligibility Test 2022 as a general candidate but was unsuccessful. The petitioner is claiming that subsequently the said certificate has come in his possession and his learned advocate by a representation dated February 17, 2024 has applied before the Secretary, West Bengal Board of Primary Education, the respondent no. 2 herein, to treat him as OBC- A candidate and 2 to declare him successful in the said test. The said representation forms part of the writ petition being annexure ‘P-6’. The respondent no. 2 is directed to consider the said representation in accordance with law after giving the petitioner an opportunity of hearing as expeditiously as possible.
