Also heard Mr. D. Bora, learned Govt. Advocate, Assam appearing for the State. The petitioner herein had participated in the recruitment process conducted through the State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB) for filling up several posts including the vacant posts of Constable (B) under the Assam Police Border Organisation. The grievance of the petitioner is that although he has fared well in the selection process, no appointment order has been issued to his favour till date. Taking note of the grievance of the petitioner, this Court had granted time to the learned Govt. Advocate to obtain instruction in the matter. Today, when the matter is taken up, Mr. D. Bora, learned Govt. Advocate, Assam has produced written instruction, according to which, the petitioner has been selected and the process of issuance of appointment order in his favour is at an advance stage. If that be so, it is apparent that the grievance of the petitioner in this case has already been redressed. Mr. Bora, learned Govt. Advocate, Assam has also agreed to the said proposition.
