This Court, vide order dated 24/05/2024, passed in MCRC No. 3640/2024, while allowing the bail of the applicant, namely, Hadibandhu Mahanandiya, had expressed its trust that the trial Court should make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six months, if there was no legal impediment. Earlier on one occasion also, this Court had granted extension of time for compliance of the order dated 24/05/2024. 4. The learned Special Judge (NDPS), Raipur, District Raipur (C.G.) vide his request letter dated 21/04/2025 has requested for grant of some more time for concluding the trial. 5. It transpires from perusal of the PUD, that the learned Special Judge assumed the charge on 27/03/2025 and a notification dated 4/04/2025 was issued for hearing cases under the NDPS Act. Earlier on 19/12/2024 additional period of four months was granted for the disposal of the case. At present the case is fixed for prosecution witness. Out of the total witnesses, 8 prosecution witnesses have been examined and 1 witness remains to be examined and trial will take some time for its conclusion. Hence, he prays for grant of further six months time for concluding the trial. 6. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of six months from today. 7. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed off with the aforesaid direction. 8.
