Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record. 2. The respondent called for applications to fill up various posts, including the post of Deputy Chief Engineer (Mechanical) (E5 Grade) vide Advertisement No.18/2024. The educational qualification for the post of Deputy Chief Engineer (Mechanical) (E5 Grade) as per the above notification was prescribed as Full time or Part-time Bachelor Degree in Mechanical/Mechanical & Production/Industrial and Production Engineering/Production Engineering. 3. The work experience required for the above-said post are as follows;- “Length of Post qualification experience : 2/6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 45057 of 2025 (E-5 Grade) 9 years, Area of Post qualification experience: Post qualification experience in Opencast/Underground mine. (or) Post /qualification experience in planning manufacturing / erection / maintenance of Heavy Earth Moving Machineries like cranes / dozers / dumpers /conventional excavators / wheelloaders bucket wheel excavators / mobile transfer conveyors / spreaders /reclaimer/Stackers/belt conveyors etc. Preferable: Knowledge in SAP / processing works contract / material management / repairs and maintenance activities /planning and scheduling of maintenance activities /condition monitoring of Heavy Earth Moving Machinery" 4. Since the petitioner has 12 years of work experience in power plants and is eligible for the post of Deputy Chief Engineer (Mechanical) (E5 Grade), he applied for the said post. Consequently, the petitioner sent a representation (e-mail) dated 05.11.2025 requesting the respondent to furnish the reasons for not considering his application. However, no reply has been received till date. 5. Mr. N. Nithyanandam, learned Standing Counsel for the respondent, on instructions, submitted that the petitioner is not eligible for the post of Deputy Chief Engineer (Mechanical) (E5 Grade) since he does not have post- qualification work experience as in the notified Area. That apart, now the provisional selection list has also been published. 6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the fact that the petitioner's representation (e-mail) dated 05.11.2025 has not been disposed of till date, the respondent is directed to dispose of the representation (e-mail) sent by the petitioner dated 05.11.2025, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 4 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
