By this petition filed under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, the petitioner, namely, Rumela Chakraborty, has prayed for Page No.# 2/2 granting pre-arrest bail, apprehending arrest in connection with R.C.- 5(A)/2024/SHG registered under Section 61(2) of BNS Act and Section 7 & 7(A) of P.C. Act 1988 as amended in 2018. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner has been working in the same office along with FIR named accused persons namely, Simi and Swapan Kumar Das. Subsequently, the petitioner received a notice from CBI to appear before the office for interrogation as such, she is apprehending arrest in connection with this case. On the other hand, Mr. Haloi, learned Standing counsel, CBI submits that the petitioner was called before the CBI office as a witness. It is also submitted that he filed an objection wherein it is reflected that the name of the petitioner was mentioned in the complaint but no allegations were against her. However, investigation is still under progress and the petitioner was called as prosecution witness in the interest of the case. In view of the above, the matter be dropped and disposed of accordingly. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
