The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is seeking a limited relief of extension of time for compliance with the order directing the petitioner to deposit the 20% of the compensation, as directed by the learned Sessions Judge, Ongole, while suspending the sentence imposed on the petitioner. 2. It is submitted that the order was passed on 16.04.2025, and the petitioner was directed to deposit an amount of Rs.1,60,000/- within one month from the date of the order. It is submitted that even as per the provisions of the NI Act, Section 148 is grants 60 days’ time and a further 30 days’ time for depositing the said amount. The petitioner filed Crl.M.P.No.817 of 2025 seeking extension of time. The learned Sessions Judge extended time till 30.06.2025. Further time is now sought as the petitioner is said to be unwell and is undergoing treatment. 3. Considering the limited request, this Court is inclined to grant the extension of time for compliance with the order passed in Crl.M.P.No.578 of 2025 in Criminal Appeal No.45 of 2025 by the learned VII Additional District and Sessions Judge, Ongole. The time for compliance shall stand extended up to 30.07.2025. 4.
