In pursuant to the order dated 03.01.2025, a report was called for from the concerned Police Station and accordingly, a report is submitted by the Officer-In-Charge of R.K. Nagar Police Station Sribhumi, Assam, whereby it is reported that till date, there is no case registered against the present petitioner in the concerned police station. 3. In that context, Mr. Mahmud, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that there was an apprehension of registering a case against the present petitioner as there was some news in the paper regarding some allegations of corruption against the present petitioner. However, it is seen that till date, no First Information Report (FIR) has been lodged in the Police Station on the basis of said paper publication and nor any case has been registered against the present petitioner. Accordingly, it is held that there cannot be an apprehension of arrest for the present petitioner and accordingly, the present petition is closed with the above observations. 4.
