WP.No.36877 of 2025 Government Advocate ORDER This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 1st respondent to take appropriate action to measure the punja land admeasuring 0-3.00 ares (3,000 sq.ft.) comprised in survey No.234/59B3A, bearing plot No.60-A and situated in Kottivakkam Village, Sholinganallur Taluk, lying in the Sub-Registrar Office of Chennai South Joint II. 2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record. 3. The petitioner has a punja land admeasuring 0-3.00 ares (3,000 sq.ft.) comprised in survey No.234/59B3A, bearing plot No.60-A situated in Kottivakkam Village, Sholinganallur Taluk. In order to survey the said land, the petitioner submitted an application before the first respondent and also paid requisite fees for the same. So far the first respondent did not take any steps to survey and demarcate the aforementioned land belongs to the petitioner. Hence, this writ petition. 2/4 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

In view of the above, the first respondent is directed to survey the petitioner's aforesaid land based on the title deed produced by the petitioner, after issuance of notice to the adjacent land owners and counter parties, if there are, and to serve the survey report to the petitioner within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of this order. It is made clear that, if the surveyor concerned is obstructed by third parties while surveying the subject land, the said surveyor can approach the jurisdictional police seeking police aid and on such request, the jurisdictional police shall provide adequate police protection to the surveyor. 5.
