The incident occurred on 21.07.2011. This is the case of theft of three units of sand. The accused is regularly attending the case from the year 2012. There is no previous or subsequent against the accused. Any further continuation of the proceedings would impinge upon his right to a speedy trial. Due to the passage of time, a meaningful trial is unlikely, and no useful purpose would be served.
