Sushil Kukreja, Judge The present appeal has been filed by the appellant/New India Assurance Company, against the impugned award dated 05.06.2024, passed by learned Motor Accident Claims Tribunal-I, Kangra at Dharamshala, District Kangra, H.P. in MAC Petition No.13-K/II/2022, CNR No. HPKA01-001000-2022, whereby an amount of Rs.20,31,820/- along with interest @ 8% per annum from the date of filing of the petition till realization of the whole amount has been awarded in favour of respondents No.1 to 4, which is to be paid by appellant/Assurance Company. 1 Whether reporters of Local Papers may be allowed to see the judgment?

2. On 31.07.2025, keeping in view the nature of dispute inter se parties, the matter was referred to the mediation of Mr. G.D. Verma, learned Senior Advocate.
3. Today, the report of learned Mediator has been received, whereby, it was informed that mediation proceedings have been decided and dispute inter se parties stood amicably settled and the appellant had decided not to press the present appeal.
4. At this stage, in view of the aforesaid report as well as statement given by Mr. Kulwinder Singh, Deputy Manager, New India Assurance Company Ltd. before the learned Mediator, learned counsel for the appellant, seeks permission of this Court to withdraw the present appeal.
5. Therefore, in view of the aforesaid background, the present appeal is dismissed, as withdrawn.
6. Before parting, I would like to record words of appreciation for learned Mediator Mr. G.D. Verma, Senior Advocate, for his earnest efforts for materializing settlement and also for learned counsel and parties whose active cooperation has resulted into happy ending of litigation. Pending application(s), if any, shall also stand disposed of.
