Ajay Mohan Goel, Judge (Oral) By way of this writ petition, the petitioner has prayed for the following reliefs:- (i) “That the respondent be directed to complete the counseling procedure of the petitioner and university be directed to give admission to the petitioner in the LL.B. program by considering notification dated 04.04.2025 alongwith memorandum of understanding dated 21.07.2022. (ii) That the final result of the petitioner be declared forthwith. (iii) That one seat in the LL.B. program be kept vacant till the final decision of this writ petition.” 2 2. When case was listed yesterday, the following order was passed:- “Notice. Mr. Devender K. Sharma, learned Counsel, Mr. Prashant Sharma, learned Counsel and Mr. Shyam Singh Chauhan, learned Central Government Counsel, accept notice on behalf of respondents No. 1 and 2, respondent No. 3 and respondent No. 4, respectively. In the light of the controversy involved in this petition, at the first instance, the matter is ordered to be listed on 31.07.2025, to enable the respondent-University to inform the Court about the decision of the Equivalence Committee qua the qualification of the petitioner. It is observed that taking into consideration the urgency involved in the matter, no further time shall be granted to the University to make available the decision of the Equivalence Committee.” 3. Today, the Court stands informed that in terms of the equivalence certificate that has been issued by the University Grant Commission, the qualification of Bachelor of Music in Music Performance and Recording awarded by the University of West London, of United Kingdom, in the year 2021 in favour of the petitioner has been held to be comparable/equivalent to the Bachelor’s Degree (National Credit Framework (NCrF)-Level 5.5) in India. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that pursuant to the receipt of the said equivalence certificate, the petitioner has been granted admission. 3 5. Taking into consideration the fact that as the petitioner now stands granted admission in the LL.B. Course without any riders, this petition is disposed of.
