The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are arrayed as Accused Nos.1 to 3 in Crime No.45 of 2025, on the file of Lakkavaram Police Station, Eluru District, for the alleged offences under Sections 85, 82(2), 351(2) of BNS, 2023 and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961. 2. Heard. 3. Considering the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioners, the allegation is that the 1st petitioner has suppressed the issue of the 1st marriage at the time of marriage with the 2nd respondent. It is submitted that the 2nd respondent was living separately and had also filed a notice; a notice was sent for the dissolution of marriage, and she had also admitted in the reply notice dated 12.05.2025 with regard to the earlier marriage of the 1st petitioner that she was aware of the same. It is submitted that the stand of the 2nd respondent is contrary to the stand taken by her in the said reply notice. 4. On these grounds, this Court is inclined to dispose off the quash petition by directing the police to complete the investigation without taking any coercive steps against the petitioners.
