Ningtamba, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mrs. L. Monomala, learned GA appearing for the respondents. [2] On 24-02-2025, the learned GA was directed to get instruction about the stage of the payment of the un-utilised Earned Leave of the petitioner and whether any sanction order has been issued by the Government and to place such instruction before this Court for passing necessary order. [3] In compliance with the said order, the learned GA placed before this Court a letter dated 12-03-2025 from the Joint Secretary (Health & FW), Government of Manipur addressed to the learned GA stating that the payment of leave encashment/un-utilized Earned Leave LAISHRA M DHAKESH ORI DEVI Digitally signed by LAISHRAM DHAKESHORI DEVI Date: 2025.03.12 15:19:41 +05'30' WP(C)No. 720 of 2024 Page 2 in respect of the petitioner has been on processed and the File pertaining to the matter has been sent to Finance Department, Government of Manipur for consideration. [4] In view of the above, the learned senior counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the present writ petition may be disposed of by issuing a simple direction to the respondents to expedite the matter for payment of the said leave encashment/un-utilized Earned Leave of the petitioner as expeditiously as possible and in any case within a stipulated period. [5] Mrs. L. Monomala, learned GA appearing for the respondents fairly submitted that the present writ petition can be disposed of as prayed for by the learned senior counsel appearing for the petitioner, however, two months time be given to the respondents for payment of the said leave encashment/un-utilized Earned Leave of the petitioner. [6] In view of the submission made by the counsel appearing for the parties, the present writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondents to expedite the process and release the leave WP(C)No. 720 of 2024 Page 3 encashment/un-utilized Earned Leave of the petitioner as early as possible but not later than two months from today.
