Even though the respondent has not filed reply, however, with the consent of learned counsel for the parties, the matter is heard at this stage.

This writ petition has been filed for the grant of following substantive reliefs:-
“a) That a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ order or directions may kindly be issued directing the respondents to release the arrear of salary + Dearness Allowance w.e.f. 01.01.2016 till 29.02.2020, higher amount of gratuity and leave encashment in favour of the petitioner on the basis of re-fixation of higher pay in terms of revision of pay scales w.e.f. 01.01.2016 in accordance with law alongwith interest @ 9% per annum from due date till the date of its realization on

account of the delayed period payment, in the interest of law and justice. b) That a writ in the nature of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ order or directions may kindly be issued directing the respondent to release the 50% balance payable amount of interim relief in favour of the petitioner alongwith interest @ 9% per annum on account of the delayed period payment, in the interest of law and justice.”

Considering the fact that prayer of the petitioner is for release of amount due to him, therefore, this writ petition is disposed of with direction to the respondent to pay due and admissible emoluments to the petitioner within a period of four weeks from today alongwith statutory interest. Pending miscellaneous application(s), if any, also stand disposed of.
