Order 18/06/2025 This criminal writ petition has been preferred by the petitioner seeking directions to the respondents to release him on parole. Learned counsel for the petitioner at the very outset submits that the he would be satisfied if the respondents are directed to consider and decide the application of the convict for release on permanent parole. Alongwith this criminal writ petition, the application was submitted by the brother of the convict for release him on parole. [2025:RJ-JP:23330] (2 of 2) [CRLW-784/2025] In view of the prayer made by counsel for the petitioner and considering the facts and circumstances of this case, this Court deems just and proper to dispose of this criminal writ petition with liberty to the convict to move an application for permanent parole before the Competent Authority in accordance with law and in case any such application is received by the respondents- authorities from the convict, the same may be decided within a period of 30 days from the date of receipt of the application in accordance with law.
