The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Bariyatu P.S. Case No. 15 of 2025, for the offence under Sections 15, 18 & 25 of the N.D.P.S. Act, pending in the court of Sri Manoj Kumar Singh, learned Special Judge, N.D.P.S., Latehar. On 27.02.2025 at about 11:40 a.m, Bariyatu Police on the basis of confidential information, destructed poppy cultivation from the forest area at village Srisamad. It was submitted that the name of the petitioner has transpired on the basis of confidential information given by the witnesses, whose names have not been disclosed. Learned Spl.P.P on behalf of the State has opposed the prayer for bail and submitted that petitioner has got criminal antecedent. Considering the nature of allegation, I am inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of Sri Manoj Kumar Singh, learned Special Judge, N.D.P.S., Latehar, in connection with Bariyatu P.S.
