Hon'ble Arun Kumar Singh Deshwal,J. 1. Petitioner is a victim of acid attack. He claims to have suffered 100 % disability. A claim for payment of ex-gratia amount under the State's scheme known as Prime Minister National Relief Fund is alleged to be pending before the District Magistrate, Hapur. Reliance is placed upon a communication of the Central Government dated 24.05.2024 whereby the Central Government has instructed the District Magistrate, Hapur to verify the petitioner's claim and to take necessary action. 2. Grievance is that despite all such communication, no action is being taken. 3. In the matters of victims of acid attack, the authorities of the State are expected to show due sensitivity. This is particularly so when the Central Government scheme is in operation for the welfare of such persons. 4. In such circumstances, we direct the District Magistrate, Hapur to examine the petitioner's claim and to ensure that amount found due and payable, in terms of the aforesaid scheme, is released to him within a period of four weeks from the date of presentation of copy of this order. 5.
