She further stated that the first information report was lodged by her father because he was not happy with her marriage as she had performed love marriage with Sunil Kumar. She further states that she is living happy married life with Sunil Kumar and does not have any grudge with her husband. They have lived years together and the family of Sunil Kumar has accepted their marriage, thus, she does not want any proceedings against her husband or his family.

5. Narindra Singh and others Vs. State of Punjab; ( 2014) 6 SCC 466, In the aforesaid judgments, the Apex Court has categorically held that compromise can be made between the parties even in respect of certain cognizable and non- compoundable offences. Reference may also be made to the decision given by this Court in Shaifullah and Others Vs. State of U.P. & Another; 2013 (83) ACC 278, in which the law expounded by the Apex court in the aforesaid cases has been explained in detail.
Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, as noted hereinabove, and also the statement of Mrs. Neetu, continuance of proceedings will ruin happy married life of Sunil Kumar and Neetu and will also affect the career of their children, namely, Neeshu Bauddh and Aditya Bauddha who are studying in Class 10th and 8th standard, the court is of the considered opinion that no useful purpose shall be served by prolonging the proceedings of the above-mentioned criminal case. Accordingly, the entire proceedings of proceedings in Criminal Case No. 588 of 2008, State v.
