Though the petitioner has retired from service on 31.05.2023, the surrender leave salary has not been disbursed to the writ petitioner, despite giving representation to the respondents on 26.09.2025, for disbursing the said benefits. Since the representation has not been considered, the present writ petition has been filed. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner would restrict his claim of interest at the rate of 6% per annum. 5. Considering the above said facts, the respondents herein are directed to release the eligible surrender leave salary to the writ petitioner along with interest at the rate of 6% per annum, from the due date till the date of disbursement, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.
