Cr.MP(M) No. 1810 of 2025 This application has been filed for condonation of delay in filing the appeal. Though reply has not been filed to this application, however, learned counsel for respondents has opposed the prayer on the ground that day-to-day delay, as required to be explained under law, has not been explained. Learned Deputy Advocate General submits that there is sufficient cause, narrated in application, which prevented the appellant/State from filing the appeal in time.
Considering the submissions of learned counsel for parties and averments made in application, delay of 33 days in filing the appeal is condoned. Application is allowed and disposed of.
Cr.MP(M) No. of 2025(Cr.MP(M)ST No.6996/2025) Leave to appeal is granted. Application stands disposed of. Cr. Appeal No. of 2025(Cr.AST No. 6967/2025) Be registered. Admit. Record be requisitioned.
Respondents are directed to furnish personal bond in the sum of Rs.1 lac each with one surety each in the like amount to the satisfaction of Trial Court on or before 15th November, 2025 undertaking therein to appear in this Court as and when directed to do so and to receive any sentence which may be imposed on conclusion of appeal. Bail bonds so furnished shall be transmitted by the Trial Court to this Court for placing the same on record. In the meanwhile, power of attorney also be filed. List for completion before the Additional Registrar (Judicial) during the week commencing from 1st December, 2025.
